Studying EngD in Biochemical Engineering Collaboration with FloDesign Sonics, Inc [email protected] I graduated in 2016 from Politecnico of Milano with a Master in Biomedical engineering. As part of my degree, I spent nine months at the Australian Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) at the University of Queensland. Here I completed my master thesis under the supervisor of Professor Cooper-White, working on smooth muscle cell differentiation from mesenchymal stem cells using a microfluidic device. This experience taught me how regenerative medicine and cell therapy can be fascinating and challenging at the same time and motivated me for a further adventure in such fields. Project: Acoustic wave technology for downstream processing of stem cell products
My EngD project focuses on the downstream processing of T-cells. In particular, we are trying to separate different type of cells using acoustic wave technology for the development of cell therapy products.
